1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the QuickVault application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Description of Service
QuickVault is a productivity application that allows users to create custom text and media triggers (shortcuts) to quickly input saved content across various applications on their Android devices. The app includes the following key features:
- Text Expansion via Accessibility Service: QuickVault uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect trigger keywords as you type in any app and replaces them with stored snippets in real-time. The service only reads the currently focused editable input field, skips password fields, and does not log, transmit, or store any of your typed text.
- Input Helper Floating Bubble: An optional floating overlay that lets you browse and copy snippets to clipboard without switching apps. This is off by default and uses a foreground service while active. It can be dismissed at any time.
- Battery Optimization Exemption: QuickVault may request exemption from Android's Doze mode to keep the Accessibility Service alive. This is a voluntary opt-in presented during onboarding or via Help & Support. No background network calls, location polling, or data collection occurs as a result.
3. Premium Subscriptions & Billing
QuickVault offers optional Premium subscriptions (monthly, yearly, or lifetime) that unlock advanced features such as unlimited triggers, unlimited entries, ad removal, and cloud backup capabilities.
- Payments are processed securely through Google Play Billing.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your Google Play Account settings.
4. User Data & Backups
Your vault data (triggers, snippets, files) is stored locally on your device. You acknowledge the following:
- Android Auto Backup: Android's Auto Backup system may back up your app data (including your local database containing snippets and preferences) to your Google account. Your snippets may contain personally identifiable information (e.g., email signatures, addresses, account numbers). You can disable Auto Backup for QuickVault in your device settings.
- Google Drive Backup: If you enable Cloud Sync & Backup, your encrypted vault data is backed up to your personal Google Drive. We do not access your Google Drive files outside the QuickVault backup folder.
5. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Uses
You are entirely responsible for the content you store in your QuickVault database. You agree not to use the application to:
- Store or transmit illegal, malicious, or highly sensitive information without adequate device security.
- Violate any applicable national or international laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the QuickVault application.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
QuickVault is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the continuous availability of the app, its compatibility with future Android OS versions, the reliability of the Accessibility Service across all third-party apps, or the absolute security of local device storage against unauthorized physical access.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall QuickVault or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising out of the use or inability to use the application. This includes, without limitation, any data exposure resulting from Android Auto Backup being restored to a compromised device, or the Accessibility Service being terminated by the operating system.
8. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the app following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
